Get Started using Voki in your Classroom today! 

Create a speaking advatar and get started with a discussion. Students can customize their advatar in hundreds of different ways to mke them unique. Voki is simple and easy to get started and even has a great Voki Classroom option to establish virtual classrooms and assignments for student response. Using Voki allows you to engage your learners using technology in a unique way, help develop their communication skills, and make assignments more interesting and interactive. 

How-To Create a Voki

Step 1. Register for an Account

Registering for an account is free! Upgrading to Voki Classroom might be a good idea if you find great ways to incorporate this into your classroom. 

Step 2. Create and Customize

Create a new Voki by clicking the CREATE tab. Then customize your avatar! There are hundreds of ways to customize your avatar by changing its hair, lips, clothes, and adding bling. You can even change your avatar's background and player. If you really want to get creative, try changing the colors and tweaking your advatar. 

Step 3. Give your Voki a Voice!

Now that you've got your advatar, let's make it talk! There are four different ways to record a voice for your avatar:

1) Telephone: Call the phone number provided and enter the passcode to record your voice

2)Type your Text: Type what you would like your avatar to say. Selcet your desired accent/language and voice. 

3)Record: Record your voice using a microphone or your computer's built in microphone. 

4)Upload: Upload a WMA, PCM, MP3, or WAV file from your computer 

Step 4. Publish

It is time to publish your avatar! Click the PUBLISH button. Then give you scene a name and click SAVE.

Step 5. Share!

Now you need to SHARE your avatar. There are two options for sharing your avartar with others:

1) Sharing your Voki: This allows you to publish your Voki on the internet. You can share it directly on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, WordPress, or Blogger by clicking the icon OR can copy the permalink OR you can copy and paste the HTML code to place it on your webpage. 

2) Send To A Friend: Send your Voki easily through email to a friend by submitting your name and email, friends' names and emails, and writing them a brief message!
